First, thanks for your other “ask” comment (for those of you who are not me and cannot see my inbox, he said he joined tumblr pretty much to follow me, which is SUPER sweet, and I thank him big time).
Now to your question.
You know, Steampunk is interesting. It’s not something that I totally “get” personally and it isn’t my favorite aesthetic, but I have seen some artists do some truly unique things with it and I respect and appreciate it. Maybe one day, I will warm up to it more. We’ll see!

I’d probably do “Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld.” C’mon, a 12-year-old in a 20-year-old supermodel superhero’s body, lost in a fantasy land of magic and jewels? It has the most potential for an action/adventure comedy, which is probably my favorite sub-genre.
1: My favorite animals are bats, chameleons, and jellyfish.
2: My least favorite animal? Gosh…I really hate mosquitoes and gnats.
3: I reckon lots of birds have magenta on them somewhere but I can’t recall the names of them. I’m not a bird enthusiast.
4: Alas, no. I should remedy this.
5: “Man of the Hour” by Norah Jones, a song about her love for her dog. It’s very sweet.
6: Probably Fozzy Bear, though I’m not a big fan of the muppets.
7: Something really obnoxious so I could be my regular self but express my inner loud-mouth asshole with my puppet hand. Um…maybe a baboon or something.
8: “Omelet” (It was the first 6-letter word I could think up)
9: “Animal.” Duh!
10: Definitely Thin Mints!
Wow that’s the…second time they’ve featured that particular image. Hmm. Oh well. Thanks for letting me know!
Haha, well…I know the kind of company I attract and keep and I realize that it’s not for everyone. Sorry about that!
Thanks so much, man! I really appreciate it. ;D
Reed Bond brings you the Amazing (Hipster) Spider-Man! go on over to his tumblr to see this and more awesome work!
Hopefully you guys don’t get sick of these, I have a few more ideas.
Neato! Where do you go to school?
Great question, and I get a chance to suggest some really great talent that you might not have seen!
First I’ll point you to the work of Sam Bosma, who has an amazing grasp on coloring with the atmosphere and environment in mind.
Steven Bryant has a great style and really has a knack for drawing very dynamic poses for his characters.
Emily Carroll is another artist whose style just blows me away. I love the slightly rough line quality in her work, too!
Not only is Reed Bond a good friend of mine, he also has one of the friendliest styles I know. It has really influenced my work!
Chris Battle works professionally in the animation industry and, like all of the people on this list, has a really great style.
Finally, I’ll end it by directing you toward Kevin Dart. How could you not LOVE everything he does? Yuki 7 and the Gadget Girls are super-awesome!
That’s all for now! I know there are more artists that I love and I apologize to them for not mentioning them here, but…well, I can’t very well cover everyone.
UGH! Just…read it. It’s short.
I was at Mary’s, yes (and I live here in Atlanta)! I’ve only been a handful of times but I really dig it. I go on karaoke nights since I don’t drink and it gives me something to look at in the absence of said alcohol consumption.
And thanks!
YOU BASTARDS I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH NEGATIVE GIFS FOR THIS POST
rot in hell, cartoon network, I am going to boycott you forever.
I’m SO COMPLETELY distraught by this. LOVED Sym-Bionic Titan so much. It had a clear influence, gorgeous artwork, great writing and stories…it was just so good! But naturally, I liked it so it was doomed to be canceled.
Man…I am so upset right now.
