Hey folks!
The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston turns 50 (pages) this week as we get a glimpse at Nicki’s mysterious past! Check it out!
Have you had a chance to check out my Indiegogo campaign yet? It’s to fund the second episode of The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston. I’ll use the funds from the campaign to focus solely on the comic for a few months (until I’m finished with Episode 2, at least) allowing for more frequent updates and a better comic overall. Click the link above or the image below to take a look at the video! If nothing else, at least sharing the link on twitter, tumblr, or facebook is super helpful.

Also, don’t forget to “like” SGARB on facebook!
Thanks!

Hey folks!
Last night I did a Livestream to help promote my Indiegogo campaign (to raise money for the second episode of The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston), and this image was the result. And surprise! I’m adding it to the crazy-awesome list of perks available! This will be an 11x17” print, obtainable by donating $130 (the “It’s An Art Museum!” tier) or more. Those who have already donated that amount will receive this print in addition to everything else they’ll get!
I forgot to add the lipstick kiss to his face during the Livestream last night, so here it is. I really like how this one came out and I’ll continue to use this coloring method on other images in the future. It was fun!
I hope you like the image! ;)

Hey folks!
Have you had a chance to check out my Indiegogo campaign, to fund the second episode of The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston? Take a look and consider donating, or at least share the link on twitter, facebook, tumlbr, or even just reblog this. Every dollar counts, and every bit of help is appreciated!
One of the perks for donating a certain amount is this print of the “drag queen superhero,” The Blue Baroness. What can I say about her that I haven’t already said? The Blue Baroness - or Blue, as many call her - is a wizard who specializes in the magic of illusions and performs at a drag bar in the city called “Ladytime!” Her attitude is both aloof and grand, and she sits on the fence in terms of where her allegiance lies: sometimes she’ll do good deeds, and sometimes she’ll cause chaos for the fun of it. She has some history with Wizard Wayne, though it is understood that the two of them parted ways on bitter terms. In the second episode of SGARB, Blue entices Ross to participate in a titillating event in exchange for alleged inside information on the mysterious Freedom Nightmare.

Hey folks!
Did you have a good weekend? My Indiegogo campaign for the second episode of The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston has been live for over a week and a half now and has about $1,900 donated so far. That’s awesome, but with 19 days left, there’s still some ground to cover from now until then to make that $5,000 goal. If you haven’t seen the video and/or read the details on the campaign, please check it out! Every dollar counts, but so do sharing the link on facebook, twitter, and tumblr (or simply reblogging this post on tumblr, as well). Thank you!
Many fun rewards are available for donating, including this print of the character most fans refer to as the “elevator cutie,” Oz Henson. I can’t say much right now about this anime nerd that makes Ross a little nervous for reasons that are probably pretty obvious, but rest assured he’ll become more important as the series goes on. ;)
Thanks for reading!

Hey folks!
The final scene of The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston: Episode 1 begins this week as Ross and Nick have a heart to heart.
There is currently an indiegogo campaign (very similar to Kickstarter) to fund the second episode of SGARB: Episode 2! By donating, you’ll be contributing to allowing me to make the second episode of SGARB my full-time job for a few months, helping episode 2 happen faster and better! There are all sorts of awesome perks for donating, like prints, commissions, extra appearances in the comic, and more! Click the link of above or the image below to take a look!

Thank you!

Hey folks!
My Indiegogo campaign has been live for a week now and is doing pretty well, but if you haven’t had the chance to hop on over and take a look, I’d really appreciate it! Donations are awesome, but so is sharing the link on twitter or facebook, or reblogging this for your own followers to see. :)
Many prints are available as rewards for donating, and this is one of them! This print features Wizard Wayne, leader of the Bobslist Adventure Team. With his wand pilfered by a thief in an alleyway at night, Wayne was pretty much hopeless. Thankfully, Ross stumbled into the scene and mustered up enough bravery to save him and get his wand back - albeit broken. Because of the incident, Ross’s wristbands became enchanted, which Wayne promises to fix as soon as his wand is in working condition. Wayne is able to legitimize any suggestion or thought, operating on total whimsy at just about all times. As such, while he is an authority figure to the rest of the adventure team, he’s also incredibly gullible and easy to persuade. Still, he makes an excellent leader, making the best he can of every situation!

Hey folks!
I’m offering several prints like this one and other exciting goodies for donating to my Indiegogo campaign, the purpose of which is to fund the second episode of my webcomic, The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston! Go check it out!
This print features Sassquatch Lavender, member of the Bobslist Adventure Team. Hailing from the planet Sasquatchewan, Sass has done really well in grasping the English language and learning about culture, but has a hard time keeping his thoughts to himself, so he’s known to say really inappropriate things without any consideration for how uncomfortable that may make people (particularly when he finds a guy attractive). Although often aloof and - as his name would imply - sassy, Sass has the best interests of his teammates at heart. With rubbery, almost dough-like skin and his purple briefs which house an endless array of wearable items, Sassquatch is the master of disguise.
I hope you’ll take a look at the campaign, consider donating, or at least share this or the link to the campaign on tumblr, twitter, facebook, or anywhere. Any help whatsoever is appreciated!

Hey folks!
This is today’s warmup sketch, probably 45 minutes. Obviously, I’m getting ready to gear up for Episode 2 of The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston, so a lot of my free time has been devoted to really diving into that. I’ve done a detailed outline of the second episode and I’m very happy with it! Hopefully, everything will be funnier and gayer, and we’ll get to know many of the characters better while meeting new ones, learning new things about the overall plot, and delving into the mystery.
This character is The Blue Baroness (whom you can learn more about here). She is very important in the second episode.
I’d like to also make quick mention that as an experiment, I am essentially going to try to fund Episode 2 through Kickstarter/Indiegogo (still haven’t chosen which one to go with). I’m going to attempt to make the comic my only job - as in, little to no commissions - so that I can do something I actually enjoy and make money doing it. Also, if this pans out, the entire second episode can be read much faster than it has taken episode 1 (which is a good thing, since they’re both about the same length and I don’t really wanna spend another year on another episode).
I will give you more details as things unfold. The campaign will be starting very soon - probably within the next two weeks - and some of the donator perks I have lined up are pretty great. I’m spending much of my time working on developing those before the campaign goes live.
Anyway, enjoy the image!

Hey folks!
Part of the original lineup of characters for The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston, The Blue Baroness (often referred to as Blue) is something of an anti-hero in the SGARB universe. This drag queen usually has her heart in the right place, but as a vigilante, she operates outside the law and sometimes even causes trouble and chaos for the fun of it. Many consider her a super hero, but in truth she’s a wizard just like Wayne, with whom she has a soured history. Her specialty is illusion - making her drag performances dazzling and unlike any other - and her magic vessels (like Wayne’s wand) are her shiny, gold boots. Blue is known for being very persuasive…
Not so long ago, I posted a picture of Blue’s original design as it has been up until last night, when I changed it. I’ve had a really hard time drawing Blue for quite a while now. Occasionally, I’d crank out a really great-looking picture of her, but there wasn’t enough consistent success. Sitting and drawing (on paper!) with my friend Reed Bond at a coffee shop, I doodled some ideas for new hairstyles and came up with this puffy thing that I really liked. I sat down last night after a long day of working and decided to try and draw Blue some more, since Episode 2 is coming up and she’s really important. I started with the new hair and kept trying to put her old face on it, but it just wasn’t working. And then it hit me.
What if I changed Blue’s race? I’ve recently received some (valid) criticism that there isn’t enough diversity in my characters, and this is something I’d like to keep in mind going forward. Last night, it clicked. By changing her race, her face became much more pleasant to draw, and honestly exudes the specific kind of sass I was going for with Blue but was never able to achieve. Personally, I’m really loving this new design! (I may ditch the hat altogether, though, seems unnecessary.)
What do you folks think?
