Hey folks!
Ridley Button, for fun. ;) I’ve been drawing in a bit of a different style since I last drew him and his family, so I thought I’d loosen up and draw him. Also, having one of those days where none of my commission sketches are coming out right. So…had to ease the frustration!
Enjoy!

Hey folks!
The hiatus for “Ross Boston” continues, but to make the wait a little better, I have a fun announcement! (Or at least, I think it’s fun and it’s definitely fun for the person who has to draw the comic, which is also me).
I’ve been using as much of my free time as I can right now to make sure the comic comes back in good form. Perhaps the most immediately noticeable change is that “Ross Boston” will see a slight change of style upon its return from hiatus in a few weeks.
This new style isn’t dramatically different, and some characters really barely look like they’ve changed (Sassquatch and Brenda were largely already drawn this way before, for instance). It employs more expressive eyes and distinct shapes than before, allowing me to say more with the art. It also gives the comic a friendlier, more fun feeling.
I will no longer be shading the characters, except in certain dramatic panels that require it. It looks good and it will save me a lot of time, and I know I can ultimately achieve mood and atmosphere with good color choices anyway. The painted backgrounds will stay. :)
I promise “Ross Boston” will return in a few short weeks, and I apologize for the wait. I’m confident it will be back as something much better than when I left it, and I’m excited for its comeback! I hope you are too.

Hey folks!
Just finished a Livestream. It was a very short one (particularly since I had to turn it off to ink since my computer is robbed of resources when I stream live).
This is Rhonda Zane, the newest character in my upcoming project tentatively called “Buttons” (about which you can learn more here). Rhonda is a professional gamer, competitive in every way. She acts as the rival to the main character, Ridley Button. Rhonda is also something of an “art snob,” her favorite artist being something similar to reality’s very own Andy Warhol - hence the hair and the use of bold, primary colors.
I’ll reveal more on her, as well as other “Buttons” characters, later.
Anyway, I’m tired. Enjoy!

Hey folks!
So I’m taking this opportunity to announce that I will be taking on a second project in the near future. It’s an older project of mine, which many of you who have been following me on Deviantart for a while have perhaps seen before.
The basic idea: This is the Button family, a family of gamers. Each one represents a different genre of video game. From left to right - Ridley (the classic console gamer), Denise (the casual/fitness gamer), Gwen (the music and rhythm gamer), Marc (the hardcore, violent gamer), and Patrick (the arcade gamer). As individuals and as a family, they’re very wrapped up in their hobby and it informs the way they interact with others and the world. The working title of this project will be “Buttons.”
I know, it probably doesn’t sound that great. But I have a lot of great ideas and it will have heart, something seemingly missing from family-centered comedies these days.
For those who are worried about how this will affect Ross Boston, worry not! Ross Boston, as well as fulfilling all of the perks from the donations to my campaign, are my main focus and my job right now and I will continue working on that primarily. “Buttons” will be the thing I do when I just feel like I need to develop something else so I don’t get too burnt out on Ross Boston.
Currently, I can’t say how this project will manifest but I suspect it will most likely be a webcomic just like Ross Boston. I also have no tentative starting date, but I will let you know more as this project develops, if it actually does. The only thing I can say with reasonable certainty is I will let the first episode of Buttons play out as a pilot and decide once that has been finished whether or not I want to continue doing it. We’ll see what happens.
I’ve had this one floating around in my head for 3 years now, so I’m excited to finally be getting it off the ground! Now that I actually know a thing or two about making a comic, I can make this the best thing it can be right now.
Hope you like them!

Hey folks!
Part of the original lineup of characters for The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston, The Blue Baroness (often referred to as Blue) is something of an anti-hero in the SGARB universe. This drag queen usually has her heart in the right place, but as a vigilante, she operates outside the law and sometimes even causes trouble and chaos for the fun of it. Many consider her a super hero, but in truth she’s a wizard just like Wayne, with whom she has a soured history. Her specialty is illusion - making her drag performances dazzling and unlike any other - and her magic vessels (like Wayne’s wand) are her shiny, gold boots. Blue is known for being very persuasive…
Not so long ago, I posted a picture of Blue’s original design as it has been up until last night, when I changed it. I’ve had a really hard time drawing Blue for quite a while now. Occasionally, I’d crank out a really great-looking picture of her, but there wasn’t enough consistent success. Sitting and drawing (on paper!) with my friend Reed Bond at a coffee shop, I doodled some ideas for new hairstyles and came up with this puffy thing that I really liked. I sat down last night after a long day of working and decided to try and draw Blue some more, since Episode 2 is coming up and she’s really important. I started with the new hair and kept trying to put her old face on it, but it just wasn’t working. And then it hit me.
What if I changed Blue’s race? I’ve recently received some (valid) criticism that there isn’t enough diversity in my characters, and this is something I’d like to keep in mind going forward. Last night, it clicked. By changing her race, her face became much more pleasant to draw, and honestly exudes the specific kind of sass I was going for with Blue but was never able to achieve. Personally, I’m really loving this new design! (I may ditch the hat altogether, though, seems unnecessary.)
What do you folks think?

Hey folks!
Interested in owning a nice, 11”x17” print of this super-special image of the Bobslist Adventure Team from “The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston?” Well, you can totally buy it on Etsy!
This is a great and inexpensive way to help support me! I’m using this money to pay my bills, eat, and help keep the SGARB website up and running, so please consider buying one of these and/or any of my other prints. I’ll appreciate it an awful lot!
Thanks!

Hey folks!
Another commission, this time for a fellow named Maurice. He was very clued-in, being a designer himself, and so it was fun to work with him. :)
Enjoy!

Hey folks!
C. Edwards commissioned me to draw two characters from his gay-aimed webcomic, Abel Boddy (somewhat NSFW but quite funny). I was honored to have been commissioned by him and his characters were super fun to draw!
Enjoy!

Hey folks!
A friend of a friend, Michael, commissioned these from me. Originally they were supposed to be together, but I had to separate them by the time I got to inking and coloring them. :(
At least they look good, and he was a joy to work with!
Enjoy!

Hey folks!
These were both commissions for a nice fellow named Justin! He requested a regular bust and an image of him as a lion tamer. I’ve never drawn a lion tamer before so this was fun!
Enjoy!
