With a new year comes new (low) prices and options, so take a look see!  If you’re only looking for a bust and not a full-body character, we may be able to work something out.

Commission details:

-I will draw any character(s) you want.  Fan art, original, or real people.

-I am fine with NSFW commission requests.

-Characters come with a solid-color background (your choice or whatever is appropriate for the drawing).  Any other kind of background will raise the price - to be determined upon correspondence - but is not out of the question.

-As you can see, you get a larger discount the more characters you purchase!

-Payment is through Paypal only.  If you don’t have a Paypal account, you can still pay with a credit or debit card via a paypal payment notification, however.  :)  (Payment is due after I’ve sent you the sketch, before I ink and color.)

Hey folks!

As a holiday special, I’m offering a super-cheap commission option!  (Also, the Wii U comes out in a week and I need the money to justify the one I have on preorder, gosh darnit!)

I’ve decided to take a quick round of commissions.  Here are all of the details.

My cartoon style:

Bust - $55 or $50 per bust for multiple busts.

Full-body - $75 or $70 per character for multiple characters.

My painting method:

Bust - $75 or $70 per bust for multiple busts.

Full-body - $100 or $95 per character for multiple characters.

Each comes with a simple background, like a flat color with some texture or gradient if necessary.  Detailed background prices can be discussed in our correspondence, should that be something you want.

I can draw caricatures of real people and animals, or I can draw your own original characters in my style, or I can draw whatever you want from whatever fandom is your thing.  Nudity and voilence are fine by me.

I only accept payment through Paypal, to be sent after the sketch is complete (before I ink/color the image).

I’m adding a new option to my commissions listing!  Here it is:

SPECIAL “SGARB” OPTION!  *New!*
Description:  A full-bodied or bust image of a character.  Can be based on photos of yourself or someone you know, an existing character of your own creation, or a character you like from something you know.  The difference here is that the style used is more cartoony, similar to that of my webcomic (which can be seen here).  While distinguishing features will be taken into account, the likeness and anatomy are intentionally not as close, and the person or character being drawn is meant to look more cartoony than my usual “commission” style.  The person or character you want me to draw can be human or any species, mythological or otherwise (as in, if you want me to draw you as a drow, a genie, a unicorn, etc., I can do that), and includes a solid color background (white, black, and transparent count as solid colors as well).  A printable high-resolution image file is sent to you upon final approval.  I typically do these 11x15 inches or so (8”x10” for busts), but sizes are negotiable and should not change the price.
Because these are easier and more fun for me to do, the price is lower than that of my regular commission prices.
Price:
$65 for a full-body (or purchase 2 or more and each character is only $60)
$45 for a bust (or purchase 2 or more and each character is only $40)

Hey folks!

Local actress Tracy Moore contacted me to do this portrait of herself and her husband for their anniversary.  She was such a joy to work with, even after we had a bit of a paypal accident (on my part).  Thanks for being so great, Tracy!  This commission reminds me that I’d like to get back into working with patterns again.  It has been a while.

It’s that time again, folks.  Commissions are once again open!  The options and prices are listed below.

Option 1:  Character Bust
Description:  A shoulders-up (give or take, no lower than the elbow) image of a character.  Can be based on photos of yourself or someone you know, or on an existing character of your own creation or a character you like from something you enjoy.  Includes a solid-color background (white, black, and transparent count as solid colors, as well).  The bust can be encapsulated in a circle or it can simply fill the page, your choice.  A printable high-resolution image file is sent to you upon final approval.  (I traditionally do these 8 inches by 10 inches, but sizes are negotiable and should not change the price.)
Price:  $55  (Or, purchase 2 or more and each bust is only $50)

Option 2:  Full-Body Character
Description:  A full-bodied image of a character.  Can be based on photos of yourself or someone you know, or on an existing character of your own creation or a character you like from something you enjoy.  Includes a solid-color background (white, black, and transparent count as solid colors, as well).  A printable high-resolution image file is sent to you upon final approval.  (I typically do these 11x15 inches or so, but sizes are negotiable and should not change the price.)
Price:  $75 (Or, purchase 2 or more and each character is only $70)

Payment is through Paypal ONLY.  You do not need a Paypal account to pay me with Paypal, but you do at least need a credit or debit card.

Hey folks!

I’m currently working on commissions (recently open).  I have never to my knowledge had an “unsatisfied” customer before (though It’s possible) and I’ve never had complaints about the style being used.  But…I have a slight complaint myself.  Or maybe not a complaint, just a few thoughts.  I dunno.

Oftentimes, in cases where I am drawing a caricature of the commissioner or whomever that customer provides photos of, I use a slightly different style, something with a little bit more detail.  What’s strange is that this doesn’t match my regular style completely:  my regular style that I use for my comic and my own characters isn’t exactly capable of capturing as strong a likeness as what I like to call my “commission style,” but I certainly enjoy working in my usual way.

I know some commissioners would be like “holy cucumbers, I look like a Ross Boston character!  Neato!”  But I suspect that others, particularly those not familiar with my comic, would probably send back commentary looking for a stronger likeness.  I’m at a constant struggle here, because I don’t know which style I should favor.  I enjoy working in my regular style and it’s what I’m known for, but it does come at the cost of a strong likeness.  Should I make a predominant switch to work in my regular style on commissions and hope that most of my customers are on board with it, or should I continue to operate the way I have been?
