Hey folks!

I’m offering several prints like this one and other exciting goodies for donating to my Indiegogo campaign, the purpose of which is to fund the second episode of my webcomic, The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston!  Go check it out!

This print features Sassquatch Lavender, member of the Bobslist Adventure Team.  Hailing from the planet Sasquatchewan, Sass has done really well in grasping the English language and learning about culture, but has a hard time keeping his thoughts to himself, so he’s known to say really inappropriate things without any consideration for how uncomfortable that may make people (particularly when he finds a guy attractive).  Although often aloof and - as his name would imply - sassy, Sass has the best interests of his teammates at heart.  With rubbery, almost dough-like skin and his purple briefs which house an endless array of wearable items, Sassquatch is the master of disguise.

I hope you’ll take a look at the campaign, consider donating, or at least share this or the link to the campaign on tumblr, twitter, facebook, or anywhere.  Any help whatsoever is appreciated!

Thanks for looking!

Hey folks!

This is today’s warmup sketch, probably 45 minutes.  Obviously, I’m getting ready to gear up for Episode 2 of The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston, so a lot of my free time has been devoted to really diving into that.  I’ve done a detailed outline of the second episode and I’m very happy with it!  Hopefully, everything will be funnier and gayer, and we’ll get to know many of the characters better while meeting new ones, learning new things about the overall plot, and delving into the mystery.

This character is The Blue Baroness (whom you can learn more about here).  She is very important in the second episode.

I’d like to also make quick mention that as an experiment, I am essentially going to try to fund Episode 2 through Kickstarter/Indiegogo (still haven’t chosen which one to go with).  I’m going to attempt to make the comic my only job - as in, little to no commissions - so that I can do something I actually enjoy and make money doing it.  Also, if this pans out, the entire second episode can be read much faster than it has taken episode 1 (which is a good thing, since they’re both about the same length and I don’t really wanna spend another year on another episode).

I will give you more details as things unfold.  The campaign will be starting very soon - probably within the next two weeks - and some of the donator perks I have lined up are pretty great.  I’m spending much of my time working on developing those before the campaign goes live.

Anyway, enjoy the image!

Hey folks!

My roommate, drag queen Edie Cheezburger, managed to come out on top in the local drag competition here in Atlanta, Dragnique.  Her performance as a zombie voodoo queen (with her gaggle of “worshippers” performing on stage with her) was inspired, and truly deserving of the win.

I promised Edie I would do an illustration for her if she won, and so here it is.  Honestly, I might have done something anyway.  Edie has been something of a muse during the 5 weeks of the competition, each performance dazzling and different, proving to me that drag is more than just wearing women’s clothing and shaking around on stage.  She is a skilled artist and every week was proof of that.  This is my thank you to her for being an inspiration!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.  She was certainly happy with it.  :)

Hey folks!

I did this commission for a friend, Luka, here in Atlanta.  At his request, the following elements were incorporated:
-Him.
-His boyfriend.
-Buffy the vampire slayer (it’s supposed to be a Buffy-like vampire).
-Battlestar Galactica
-The city of Atlanta.

Overall, I think everything fits together in a really fun image!  I hope you like it too.  :)

Hey folks!

Interested in owning a nice, 11”x17” print of this super-special image of the Bobslist Adventure Team from “The Super-Gay Adventures of Ross Boston?”  Well, you can totally buy it on Etsy!

This is a great and inexpensive way to help support me!  I’m using this money to pay my bills, eat, and help keep the SGARB website up and running, so please consider buying one of these and/or any of my other prints.  I’ll appreciate it an awful lot!

Thanks!

Hey folks!
C. Edwards commissioned me to draw two characters from his gay-aimed webcomic, Abel Boddy (somewhat NSFW but quite funny).  I was honored to have been commissioned by him and his characters were super fun to draw!
Enjoy!

Hey folks!

I forgot to post this one sooner, but this was a commission for a fellow named Matt.  He and his boyfriend have “bearded Jewish drag personas” and he asked me to illustrate them.  How on earth could I turn that down?!

Honestly, this is one of my favorite commissions I’ve done in a while.  I enjoyed working on it and love how it came out.  I hope you like it, too!

Hey folks!

This is my entry into Bits in Multiples of 8, a zine dedicated to classic video games as interpreted by several artists.  The deadline is actually today, so if you have the time, read over the rules and do something for it!

The title of the piece is “I Hear the Whistle.”  Nothing is more groan-worthy than when you hear Protoman’s whistle and you know you’re in for a mess of jumping and shooting.  Strange that I’d pick Gemini Man’s Protoman occurance, as it’s the one moment where Protoman actually helps you instead of getting in your way.  But oh well.

It was super fun working in grayscale, which is something I basically never do.  I’ll have to do more of it soon.  :)

Anyway, enjoy!

Hey folks!

I’ve temporarily removed myself from my strep bed to tell you that you can now officially vote on my Threadless design, entitled “SUCCESS!”

For context, it was submitted for Threadless’s “Threadless Loves Pin-Ups” challenge, but your votes are still immensely helpful.

Your votes - especially your positive votes - mean the world to me.  I could seriously use the money in the coming months and I would personally love to be wearing this shirt.

Beyond voting, I would be greatly appreciative of anyone who decides to share this post or the link back to design on Threadless, be it on Twitter, deviantart, etc.  The more people who look at it and vote, the better chance it has at getting printed!!!  Please please pleeeeeease with a cherry on top?!  *kissy face*

Thank you guys and gals so much!  Now…back to my strep throat and my Mythbusters.

I get questions ALL THE TIME about how I get the texture I do in my work, what brush I’m using.  I’d just like to remind folks that it’s this brush that I made and you can make it to.  The tutorial is super easy to follow, so go do it.  :)
